| Plot Summary of The Cat Who Said Cheese |
"James Qwilleran is back in Pickax, with his two Siamese cats Koko and Yum Yum. The cats are always giving clues to some mystery that Mr. Q gets involved in. Mr. Q writes a twice weekly column for the local newspaper. Meanwhile the city gets ready for the Food Explo, a local celebration of food, in which cheese is the featured food. On the other side of town a mysterious woman checks into the local hotel. A few days later the hotel blows up, and the target is the woman's room. The woman is not in it, but was visiting Mr. Q's cabin. When he returns, she is gone. Was she the target of the bomber? Or was it a coincidence? Then a man turns up dead at a fisherman's cabin. Are the two incidents related? No one seems to know who the woman was and all clues lead to a dead end. Finally information comes from an unexpected source, a beekeeper who doesn't realize he has important information that helps Mr. Q find out who the bomber is and what he is after. In the meantime, the cat's get their fill of cheese and especially enjoy the varieties that rhyme with the witnesses name."
