Plot Summary of Absolutely Positively
"Dr.Harry Stratton Trevelyan is a scientist-philosopher with a special talent for detecting fraud. He is hired by Molly Abberwick, the trustee of the Abberwick foundation, to look through grant proposals and advise her about which ones to fund.
After working for Molly for a month, Harry decides he wants to have an affair with her. He doesn't expect any kind of emotional attachment since they are complete opposites. He has given up on finding someone to spend the rest of his life with, after a failed engagement 18 months ago. He is also afraid that he is going crazy, due to a special psychic "6th sense" that he posesses.
When he becomes involved with Molly, however, he is unable to keep any emotional distance from her. He has a connection with her that he's never had with anyone else, and never expected to have. He wants a future with her, but is terrified that she'll be repulsed by his "6th sense" and his complicated family.
As Harry and Molly work out their relationship, they discover that they've got another problem on their hands: someone is stalking Molly and trying to kill her. It is obvious that the villian is an engineer with a grudge against her. All of his "pranks" are built by hand. Only Harry can figure out who is after Molly by comparing the engineering style of the weapons with blueprints of The Abberwick Foundation's rejected inventors. But can he figure out who wants Molly dead before it is too late?"
