| Plot Summary of Jedi Quest |
"When Anakin Skywalker was seven, he and his friend Amee went on a lovely picnic, but the perfect day was ruined by a slave raid in which Amee's mother, Hala, was captured by the ruthless pirate Krayn. Six years later, Anakin has become a Jedi Apprentice and needs to build a lightsaber. He and his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, go to the crystal caves on Illum so Anakin can get crystals to fashion his own lightsaber. In those caves, they face fierce creatures called gorgodons worse their own most frightening fears. Obi-Wan must relive Qui-Gon's death time and again and Anakin faces several dark visions from his past and future. Anakin finishes his beautiful lightsaber, after dueling Darth Maul visionstyle of course.
Next, Obi-Wan and Anakin are sent on a Colicoid ship to deter a pirate attack. It doesn't work. Krayn fires on the ship. Anakin pilots a ship with him and Obi-Wan in it to fly over to the pirate ship, go up the exhaust tunnel, and disable the weapons systems. Just as they're about to escape, Anakin is captured by Zora. Zora was once Siri Tachi, an old and dear friend of Obi-Wan's before she had a spat with her old master, Adi Gallia, and turned to the dark side. Anakin ends up a slave again for a few weeks on Nar Shadda, but he does have a hidden protector so he's given the privileged job of driving a grav sled around the spice factory.
Obi-Wan is frantic. He must find his padawan. He goes to the Jedi Council and asks for a fast ship, permission to infiltrate Krayn's operation, and to be let in on a secret. His heart tells him that Siri did not truly turn to the dark side but that she is undercover, playing the part of the pirate. He is right. The Council confirms his guess and gives him permission, but they also warn him to be very careful because Siri is in great danger, as deep as she is in Krayn's organization.
Siri pulls Anakin out of the way to warn him to not draw attention to himself. Anakin explodes on her, accusing her of betraying the Jedi. Krayn overhears and has both Anakin and Siri put in a jail cell. After checking for listening devices, Siri tells Anakin the truth: she didn't turn from the Jedi at all, she's undercover. Together, they plot how to turn the tide on Nar Shadaa. With the help of some slaves, they escape their prison. Next, they convince the ruler of Nar Shadaa to have his guards not interfere with the slaves. Then, they split up. Anakin goes to ralley the slaves, and Siri goes to turn the Colicoids against Krayn.
The Jedi chase Krayn. Anakin gets there first. Obi-Wan and Siri arrive just in time to watch Anakin strike down Krayn. Though Siri didn't see it, Obi-Wan saw a very disturbing expression on his Padawan's face. Anakin had wanted to destroy Krayn. Obi-Wan vows not to fail Qui-Gon by abandoning Anakin. He will just have to wait for the future and do his best to train Anakin to be a patient Jedi."
