Plot Summary of Love Only Once
"Regina Mallory is the toast of London society, a first-diamond-in-the-water belle, and the beloved niece of the affluent and distinguished Mallory brothers. She has flitted from one party to another, season after season looking for her ideal mate. When she has been caught in a compromising situation with notorious rake Nicholas Eden, her single life comes to an end as she has been forced to marry the man. Just following their wedding ceremony, Nicholas leaves her pregnant without telling her where he's going. After birthing the child alone, she becomes unforgiving for Nicholas's prolonged absence. And when he returns back, she wills herself to be cold and indifferent to him. However he appears to have changed and become more attentive and caring to her. Can she forgive and forget the past and start a new wonderful marriage life with Nicholas?
Nicholas Eden is the illegitimate child of his noble dad. When he is forced by the Mallory brothers to marry their niece after compromising her, he tries to stay away from Regina not wanting to taint her with his illegitimacy. Resentful of the marriage, he travels far into a different continent to forget about her. However one of his uncle-in-law bullied and reminded him of his wife. He returns back to London only to find out that he has a son and his wife doesn't forgive him for leaving her. But the attraction still sparks between them and proves to be so tempting that they cannot stay away from the dictates of their body. As he spends more time with Regina, all his insecurities of his illegitimacy fall away. He learns to love another person completely. But can he prove to Regina that he has truly reformed and will only love her forever?
