|Plot Summary of Against The Rules|
Cathryn Donahue returns back to her inheritance after her father's death only to find Rule Jackson, her father's right-hand owning up the place. Cathryn has suffered intense attraction with Rule ever since she has been a teenager. Rule is also the reason why she has escaped the ranch life and preferred to live in the city. Now she is upset to see that nothing has changed with her remaining family members and most especially with her feelings for Rule. As both of them work together, Cathryn learns to love her land and to respect Rule for his hard work. However she can't shake the feeling that Rule only wants her for her land and not herself. Can she place herself second-best to Rule's life?
Rule Jackson is grateful for Ward Donahue since the day he has rescued him from a life of alcohol and fighting. He tries his best to manage the ranch even after his death. But the arrival of the missing heiress disrupts the business of the ranch. His attraction with Cathryn poses a problem also. Rule has never been attracted to any woman as he is with Cathryn. However the two of them together always end up fighting and disagreeing. As she stays longer, Rule can't help but fall in love with her. Can Rule show Cathryn that they are meant to be together?
