| Plot Summary of Bridget |
"After her husband dies in the Civil War and she loses their farm, Bridget McQuarry, her young son, and her younger sister travel west to make a new home in Primose Creek, Nevada. Bridget hopes to make a new start and be able to provide for her son and sister. She doesn't expect someone from the past to show up in Primose Creek, however. Trace was the best friend of Bridget's late husband, Mitch. Trace loved Bridget but she married Mitch instead. Now Trace feels he must honor what Mitch wanted by looking after his wife and son. But when she finds herself falling in love with Mitch, who still loves her, Bridget struggles with feelings of guilt that she may be betraying her dead husband."
