| Plot Summary of Wildest Hearts |
"Wealthy buisnessman Oliver Raine knew that he wanted Annie Lyncroft to be his wife from the moment he first saw her. Oliver is a very patient and controlled man, and was willing to wait until he had maneuvered Annie into a relationship. But Annie plays right into his hands when her brother's plane is lost at sea and is presumed dead. Annie doesn't belive that Daniel is dead and is determined to preserve his company for him. But she has no idea about how to run his electronics company and is hounded by creditors. She knows that she had to find someone else to run the company, but she can't take the buisness out of the family. Her solution is to propose a marriage of convenience to Oliver, who is a friend of her brother's and is heavily invested in the company. He agrees with the idea of eventually making the marriage permanent.
In order to make their marriage look real Annie moves in with Oliver, and they become very close. Annie falls in love with Oliver, and Oliver wants Annie. He swears that he will never let her go, but he will not admit that he loves her. He is afraid of showing any weakness and is used to controlling everythng around him. He is unwilling to give Annie any more power over him than she already has.
Things get even more complicated when it is discovered that Daniel was investigating fraud in his company at the time of his dissapearence. Facts lead Oliver and Annie to the conclusion that Daniel's plaine was deliberately sabotaged. The culprit becomes more desperate as they get closer to uncovering the truth. When he targets Annie in a final act of desperation, Oliver must rescue her before it is too late. In doing so, he is also forced to confront his true feelings for her."
