| Plot Summary of Children of Dynasty |

"Mariah Grant and Rory Campbell, sole heirs of rival Bay Area developers, came together as young lovers but were star-crossed by hostility between their fathers - men once as close as brothers and mysteriously turned into sworn enemies.
Eight years after their first breakup, Mariah returns from a self-imposed exile to the family company in San Francisco. Contrary to her hope, the city is too small to avoid Rory, who works for his father.
Unfortunately, the companies' competition makes fraternizing the equivalent of consorting with the enemy. Yet, passion flares anew between Mariah and Rory, who meet in secret, planning to defy their fathers and end the family warfare.
Then an accident on a Grant skyscraper happens under suspicious circumstances, killing Mariah's closest childhood friend while a web of intrigue surrounds her and Rory. She comes to believe the elder Campbell is so determined to destroy Grant that he will stop at nothing, even murder.
