Plot Summary of Superfudge
"In this sequel to “Tales of a Forth Grade Nothing,” Peter Hatcher discovers that his mother is pregnant. To make matters worse, his father has accepted a job in Princeton, New Jersey. After delivering the baby, Tootsie, Peter's mother plans to take Art History classes. Peter will have to leave his house and friends in his hometown in New York.

When he arrives in New Jersey, Peter hates it. On top of all of this, Peter has to struggle to get along with his little brother Farley Drexel Hatcher, who is also affectionately known as Fudge. Both Fudge and Tootsie test Peter's patience throughout the entire novel. Throughout all of this, both Peter and Fudge manage to make several new friends; however, he still faces the important decision: whether to stay in New Jersey or go back to New York.

While this comedic novel is written for children to enjoy, it is ultimately a mature story dealing with rivalry, adjustment and friendship.
