Plot Summary of Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the New York Ripper
"In 1893 Sherlock Holmes (alias Simon Hawkes) is in New York City hiding from Moriarty's gang's revenge. A prostitute is murdered and then butchered in a manner reminiscent of England's Jack the Ripper. Shortly thereafter another similar murder occurs. A serial killer is stalking the streets of the city.

The New York police commissioner, Thomas Byrnes, wanting to protect his own reputation, hides the pertinent facts of the murders from the news reporters, calling them separate events. Sherlock Holmes is called into the case to investigate and soon uncovers evidence suggesting the possibility that these heinous crimes may be the work of the very same Jack the Ripper who slaughtered woman in London five years earlier.

Acting on that supposition, Holmes begins to incorporatate an analysis of the Jack the Ripper crimes into his investigation of the New York Ripper crimes. In doing so he uncovers evidence as to the identity of the current killer,"
