"Ten years ago Glory Parsons left her hometown of Pearl River, Oregon and headed to a home for unwed mothers. After giving birth to her baby girl Glory gave her child up for adoption. Now, Glory has returned to Pearl River in order to attend her mother Delphine's wedding. Glory isn't prepared to run into Jesse Bainbridge, her former lover, on her first day back in town. Now a sheriff, Jesse is still as handsome and tantalizing as ever. Ten years ago Glory and Jesse were head over heels in love until Jesse's rich and powerful grandfather learned of Glory's pregnancy and threatened to ruin her family unless she left Pearl River and didn't less Jesse know about her pregnancy. Although Glory left Pearl River she never stopped loving Jesse. When Glory lays eyes on Jesse's orphaned niece Liza she quickly realizes that Liza is the daughter she gave up for adoption.
