| Plot Summary of Lipstick Jungle |
"Nico O'Neilly, Victory Ford and Wendy Healey are three friends who are also among the elite of New York's entertainment world. Nico O'Neilly is the editor in chief of Bonfire magazine while Victory Ford is a talented fashion designer and Wendy Healey is president of Parador Pictures. All three are in their early forties and are hugely successful in their professional lives. Although Nico is the editor in chief of a top magazine, she is busy climbing the corporate ladder and attempting to take over the company's entire division. Although Nico is married to Seymour and has a lovely teenaged daughter, she can't resist having a delicious fling with a gorgeous model named Kirby Atwood. When a ruthless competitor competes with Nico for the position she fears that her private affair with Kirby may be outed as a public scandal.
Wendy is busy being Superwoman, trying to keep it together professionally while juggling her three kids and husband, Shane. Shane hasn't worked in a decade, not since Wendy financed the film he made when he was a wannabe film producer. Wendy yearns to win the covered Oscar yet fears that her professional ambitions won't coincide with her familys' needs. Shane abruptly asks Wendy for a divorce.
Victory Ford has always used her instincts when it comes to fashion design. Using all of her considerable fashion instincts, Victory creates a daring new line. When Victory premieres her spring line during fashion week she is devastated by the lackluster response of the critics. When her company begins to flounder Victory is forced to use all her business savvy to save her company and her dream. "
