Plot Summary of A Perilous Eden
"Amber Larkspur is on vacation in Miami with a few girlfriends when the group decides to board the Alexandria, a cruise ship heading for the caribbean. On board the ship is Senator Daldrin and a group of his friends. Amber has known the Senator for most of her life since her father, Ted Larkspur, is part of the President's cabinet and is an insider in Washington. Also on board the ship is the mysterious and handsome, Michael Adams, a man Amber has briefly encountered in D.C. Amber is wildly attracted to Michael, who she has sex with on a gorgeous caribbean beach. Although Amber is looking for more than a wild fling, Michael proves to be an enigma with regards to matters of the heart. One night while on board the ship Amber ends up walking into a kidnapping of Senator Daldrin. Amber watches in horror as a group of men in black grab hold of the Senator and try to take him by force. When Amber steps in to stop the kidnapping, one of the men holds a gun on her. Just as Amber is losing hope of making it through this ordeal alive, Michael appears on the deck. Amber is shocked when Michael tells her that he is not there to save her. Things become crystal clear when Michael starts speaking with the men in a foreign language. Amber starts kicking up a fuss and is knocked unconscious by Michael. Unbeknownst to Amber, Michael Adams aka Adam Tchartoff is an undercover agent working to catch a terrorist group. Michael was hired by the United States government, and in particular, Ted Larkspur to bring this group to justice. As incentive Michael is made aware that this particular group was responsible for the car bombing that claimed the life of his wife Sonia and daughter Reba. Ever since his loved ones were killed Michael has been a man consumed by bitterness and thoughts of revenge. Unbeknownst to the terrorists, Senator Daldrin was made aware by the government of the "kidnapping" and told that Michael would be playing the role of a terrorist. Amber, who wasn't supposed to sail on the Alexandria, was the one part of the operation that didn't go smoothly. Now, Michael must convince Amber that he's a man to be trusted, and that in order to take down the terrorists they must work together. "
