"Wendy Williams, Queen of the Urban Airwaves, has been a top rated radio personality for a decade. In this book Wendy tells all, the good, the bad and the ugly about the biggest stars in the industry. From her humble beginnings in New Jersey, Wendy rose through the ranks of radio and became a fixture at WBLS 107.5, one of the most popular black radio stations in the tri-state area. Wendy has become a household name, particularly in the black community, due to her hard hitting interviews and scandalous stories. Wendy details her most famous interview to date - the Whitney Houston interview that took place on December 15, 2002. This interview took place two weeks after the much publicized Diane Sawyer interview in which Houston was put on the defensive about drug allegations and marital issues with Bobby Brown. Wendy provides the transcript of her own interview in which she manages to hold her own against a hostile and defensive Houston. In elaborate detail Williams describes the origins of hip hop and the increasingly violent, sexist rap stars that hijacked hip hop and changed it from rhyming skills to gangsta wannabes. Williams gives her opinions on everything from the deaths of Tupac and Biggie to the black rap stars' backlash against Eminem. Williams has a stark honesty and she isn't afraid to tackle tough subjects like undercover homesexuals in the music industry and the allegations against R Kelly with regards to sexual activity with minors. Williams includes tidbits about J Lo, Puffy, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey and many more celebrities. Williams tells about her own plastic surgeries and list major celebrities who have gone under the knife (and denied it). This book is highly entertaining and a quick read. Wendy Williams shines the spotlight on celebrity issues that most people in the media wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole."
