"When 36 year old Eric "Dutch" Van Meer first lays eyes on Dani St. Claire on a flight to Mexico, he quickly sums her up as a spinster. Eric has no lingering interest in women, give or take a few one night stands. Danielle is a shy and sheltered bookstore owner from South Carolina on vacation. Eric dismisses Dani as a frump while Dani wishes that she was more attractive and could gain Eric's notice. Coincidentally, both Eric and Danielle are staying at the same hotel in Veracruz and are constantly being thrown into each other's paths. When Eric runs into Dani on the beach he is mesmerized by her voluptuous body and quiet beauty. Eric boldly asks Dani is she's a virgin and she tells him that she is. Eric asks Dani out to dinner and the couple shares a few blazing kisses. Eric vows that if he makes love to Dani he will marry her. As the romance escalates, both Dani and Eric fear that they won't be able to control themselves sexually. Eric proposes that they tie the knot since having sex is inevitable and he knows Dani isn't a one night stand kind of girl. Eric and Dani give in to their passion and have a passionate sexual encounter. In the morning they head to a small chapel and exchange vows. Dani is shocked when Eric tells her that he never wants to have children and will never love again after being burnt by a woman when he was 24. Although Eric has told Dani that he is in the military, the truth is that Eric is a mercenary soldier, hired out to the highest bidder. As the couple heads back to the states there is a highjacking aboard their plane. When Eric courageously steps in and saves the day he is forced to tell Dani that he is a mercenary. Eric's news devastates Dani and leaves her wondering what kind of future she can have with Eric."
