| Plot Summary of Eleven on Top |
"Stephanie Plum is sick of her job as a bounty hunter- she is always being stalked, threatened or shot at. So she quits and gets a job in the button factory. Unfortunately, she is late to her very first day and is fired. She then gets a job in the Kan Klean Dry Cleaning Company. Meanwhile, Lula, Stephanie's former bounty hunting side-kick, is left to deal with all of Stephanie's cases. Unfortunately, Lula isn't as capable as Stephanie was and often needs her help. During one of their joint attempts at a capture, Lula insults the eccentric owner of the Kan Klean Dry Cleaners and Stephanie is fired. During all of this, Stephanie has been receiving threatening notes and bombs are continuously planted in her cars. Her boyfriend Joe is also run down by a car and his leg is broken. She forms a theory that she is being stalked by an old nemesis, Spiro Stiva. During her next job at the Cluck in a Bucket fast food restaurant, Stephanie sees Spiro and is sure that it he is the one stalking her. When this causes her to be fired from this job as well, Stephanie decides to take a job working for the very sexy Ranger, much to her boyfriend Joe's disgust.
Ranger, as well as being a bounty hunter, runs several security companies, and Stephanie is able to use the facilities at her disposal in this job to try and track down Spiro. She uncovers an old plot between four men who have all mysteriously disappeared, and concludes that this is connected to Spiro's reappearance in her life. After the bodies of the missing men are found, Stephanie follows a hunch and discovers who the real stalker is. "

" Stephanie Plum is a Jersey girl doing what she has to do to make ends meet. Not only has she been working as a bounty hunter tracking criminals all over the city, but she looks good doing it. After being shot at and covered with more questionable substances than she cares to remember she turns over her handcuffs to her friend Lulu.
Her parents and sometime lover Joe are quite pleased by her decision to change jobs, but some things never change. She manages to burn down a chicken joint and not only loses her job but the oh so cool chicken hat she gets to wear.
Her job at a dry cleaners doesn't quite work out. Once again she is being shot at. Her personal life is not much better. Stephanie has man problems. One who wants to marry her...sometimes,another who wants to sleep with her. They are both hot. Her man problems do not end there. A psycho with a melted face wants to kill her and the icing on the cake is a six and a half foot cross-dressing wedding planner who wants to dress her up like an eggplant"
