Plot Summary of Exile's End
"When Ransom Laird comes to Conard County, Wyoming he wants nothing more than to enjoy the natural wonders of the Midwest. When he meets writer Mandy Grant he requests that she take him on as a handyman in exchange for room & board and $50 a week. Although Mandy is a tad reluctant, she gets a personal endorsement from Nathan Tate, the Sheriff of Conard County. Since Mandy is greatly in need of a handyman, she brings Ransom on board. Mandy and Ransom share a mutual attraction that surprises both of them. Since the death of her husband, Mandy has been living a celibate lifestyle and until Ransom came into her life she couldn't imagine ever falling in love again. But Ransom is a man with big secrets. He is a former CIA agent who spent four years as a captive, with the brutal scars on his body to show for it. Although Ransom has fallen in love with Mandy he has suddenly become aware that a dangerous killer is after him. Ransom fears that Mandy will get caught in the crossfire and get injured or killed. As Ransom prepares to suit up again as a CIA agent in order to catch a killer, he vows that the love of his life will not be harmed. Will Ransom survive an assassin's vengeance to make a life with Mandy?"
