| Plot Summary of Friends and Lovers |

"When Debra meets sexy comedian Leonard she isn't expecting to find her love buddy. Although Leonard makes her laugh and provides a strong shoulder for her to lean on, Debra is sick and tired of being in sex filled relationships that go nowhere. She's vowed no more sex before marriage which has Leonard a little stir crazy. Meanwhile, Debra's best friend, Shelby,and Leonard's best buddy Tyrel, develop a friendship that leads to romance. Shelby, a stewardess, is a bit cynical and a little bit jaded from having slept with more men that she'd like to admit. Tyrel, an on the rise computer executive, has just been dumped by a woman who left him for her estranged hubby. Tyrel is not looking for a good woman. Against all odds, Shelby and Tyrel end up falling head over heels for each other. When Shelby unexpectedly gets pregnant (unbeknownst to Tyrel) and Tyrel and Shelby argue over their relationship and break up, Shelby decides to terminate the pregnancy.
While Debra and Leonard make the poignant decision to committ themselves and get married, Tyrel and Shelby are breaking up, despite the fact that they still love each other.
As time passes by Tyrel and Shelby cannot deny that they still love each other. With the inspiration of loving couple Debra and Leonard, Tyrel and Shelby each make attempts to reconnect."
