Plot Summary of Ever His Bride
"    When Hunter Claybourne discovers that the shares of railway stock are no good due to the fact that the woman who owned them was not of an age to sell them, he has the woman, Felicity Mayfield, hunted down and brought to a sponging house for her debts. Felicity, who had no idea of the age limitations, cannot pay Hunter back due to the fact that her Uncle took all the money and left for the gold mines of California. Hunter gives her the option of marrying him, in name only, so he may take control of her shares after a year of marriage, or he will send her debtors prison.
Felicity and Hunter marry, but their original plan of maintaining separate lives gets thrown aside as Hunter finds himself attracted to his wife. Felicity, also is attracted to Hunter, and the when they decide to consummate their marriage, their lust turns into love although neither will admit it too one another.
As Hunter and Felicity are drawn closer together, they decide to maybe extend their marriage beyond the agreement terms. Felicity, who makes her living as a journalist, writes an article on child labor which ends up hurting Hunter's business, which he feels is a betrayal of their trust. The two separate, but their love does not diminish, as they try to overcome the obstacles that stand their way."
