"Dee has taken care of her land for ten years all on her own. When Kyle Bellamy and his men attack Dee's farm, Luis, Olivia's true love, helps Lucas defend her. Luis and Dee are both injured badly, and afterward Olivia and Luis decide to get married. Dee is hurt worse, so Lucas takes her to his ranch to recover. He has destroyed her water supply on her land so no one else tries to take it, and when she returns home she refuses to talk to him again.
Kyle sets about trying his best to convience Dee he did it out of love, and he wants her to marry him, for love, and not for her land."
