Plot Summary of Full Circle
"Reporter Penny Mackenzie and her co-worker, Maxie hide in a field outside of the little town of Pearl to catch some teenagers suspected of smoking marijuana. There is only a whiff of marijuana and the sound of a shovel digging before the youngsters get spooked and take off running. Penny and Maxie investigate and find a small box of dirt and rocks which turn out to be gold nuggets, and a skeletal foot. Reporting their find brings suspiciously little investigation from the local powers that be and Maxie is killed, her death called accidental. Penny knows better and continues her search for the truth in spite of suspicians about the gold nuggets and the founders of Pearl who made their fortune in the Alaskan gold rush. Penny's old flame returns to Pearl, handsome and distracting as ever, on the pretext of finding his aunt's long lost husband. Could these old bones the authorities are so slow in identifying be the long lost uncle? Was the city of Pearl founded on stolen claims and gold which belonged to someone else? What did Maxie find that someone was willing to kill to hide? "
