| Plot Summary of One Red Rose - Clayborne Brides 3 |
"Adam Clayborne walked into his bedroom after a long week of being gone to find a woman sound asleep in his bed. Miss Genevieve Perry introduced herself as his bride and Adam turned tail to run! This was the woman his Mama, Mama Rose, has said she was going to bring home for him to marry. Adam was not going to marry anyone and wished his meddling Mama would butt out.
Genevieve was in trouble though and she was not going to marry this wonderful man that was too good for her. She finally gets him alone later that week and tells him just that. He tries to pry out of her what kind of trouble she's in but she ignores his inquiries and changes the subject. The night of Mama Rose's birthday party a telegram arrives for her and Adam leaves her alone so as not to interfere. After walking off alone to read the telegram she whispers a goodbye to all and leaves the ranch unnoticed.
The next day, after finding out she's gone with no word all are worried. Adam finds the telegram in the apron she was wearing and reads the warning to 'run for your life, they're coming' and sets out to find her. Of course he tracks her and finds her and when he does he doesn't know if he wants to kiss her or shake her. This beautiful, courageous, stubborn woman is getting under his skin. He agrees to take her to the next town so she can get on the stagecoach. But the people searching for her aren't far behind. The men searching for her meet up with them in the next town. They are looking for the money she has supposedly stolen from them. US Marshal , Daniel Ryan, gets involved, a gun fight takes place and both Genevieve and Adam are almost killed.
