| Plot Summary of The Bridge To Holy Cross |
"The continuation of 'The Bronze Horseman', this book follows the story of the memorable characters, Tatiana and Alexander.
Tatiana is now in New York, having escaped war-torn Russia, with her baby Anthony. Anthony's father, Alexander, is assumed dead, but Tatiana can't bring herself to believe this.
We see Tatiana struggle to make a new life for herself in America, despite her maddening grief at the separation from her husband, whilst never giving up her search for Alexander.
Meanwhile, Alexander, as Tatiana suspects, is not dead, but has been captured by the NKGB, the Soviet police, and is enduring an impossible interrogation. We also gain insight into Alexander's life as he was growing up, and how he came to be in the Soviet Union.
Tatiana makes one final attempt to rescue and reunite with her husband. "
