| Plot Summary of A Will and a Way |
"When Pandora's uncle Jolley dies, she goes back to his house for the reading of his will. She discovers that he has left her his entire estate, to be shared with her cousin by marriage, Michael. They must live together for six months, without being apart for more than 48 hours, or they will lose their inheritance and it will be split between the remaining family, who happen to be a bunch of money hungry people. Pandora and Michael agree, and they begin a long six months.
Before long, the first sparks begin to fly. Despite the insults they hurl at each other, they find themselves attracted. The family finds out about it and are not pleased, so they begin a campaign of vandalism, petty pranks, false telegrams, and more to try to break the terms of the will. These only bring Michael and Pandora clsoer together, and soon they have reluctantly fallen in love.
When the six months draws to an end, the pranks go deadly, as poisoned champagne is sent to them. Later, the break lines are drained on their cars and they barely escape. Pandora is hurt, and Michael is furious that the woman he loves has been hurt. They devise a plan to catch the family member responsible, and later find out they were all involved, although only one drained the brakes. Afterwards, Michael and Pandora decide that they will continue living at Jolley's Folley and make a family of their own there."

" Pandora McVie never got along with her non-blood cousin, Michael Donohue. But they were both connected through their mutual love for their uncle, Jolly. When Jolly dies, he leaves just about all of his assets to them jointly. But there is one condition: They must live in his mansion together for 6 months. Jolly had always hoped that the two of them would fall in love and he was going to see that it happend, if it was the last thing he did.
Although Pandora and Michial don't get along and neither of them needs the money, they feel obligated to carry out the terms of the will. Otherwise all of their uncle's things will be divided up among the rest of their family, whom hated Jolly. So they move into the mansion together.
But someone else wants their share of the money too. And they are willing to go to great lengths to get Pandora and Michael to break the terms of the will. So, the two of them must deal with both the growing attraction between them and an irate, unknown family member who won't stop until they're out of Jolly's mansion."
