| Plot Summary of Foreign Body |
"This book is fifth in a series starring Tory Bauer. Tory is now the owner of the cafe, the previous owner having died and left her ownership to her. The cafe is in a small town called Delphi, South Dakota. Nothing much happens there, but when it does, it seems to happen around Tory. And she's always being called upon to solve the town's problems. This time, a touring European choir stops at their town for a performance. They stop to eat at the cafe. One of the girls is found unconscious, with a suicide note in her hand. The note says she is ashamed because of the passes the local minister made at her. No one can believe the minister did anything, especially because he didn't have the opportunity. Later the girl dies from some kind of poison--now it's not assault it's murder! Tory, her cousin Junior, and her co-owner Del and employee Alanna have to figure out the puzzle. Who killed the young girl and why? They'd only been in town a few hours, not long enough to make any enemies. The story is told with a great deal of humor and sarcasm."
