" Cleopatra Robbins, owner of Robins' Nest Inn, has a secret that few people know. She is the critically acclaimed author of a book of feminine erotica.
Max Fortune is the former head of a giant hotel chain. After his boss and mentor dies, Max goes searching for his inheritance of five very valuable paintings. Before his boss died he told Max that the paintings were with Cleopatra Robbins. Max, assuming that Cleo was his mentor's mistress, goes to her hotel but she denies having the paintings.
Despite their mutual attraction, Max senses that Cleo is hiding something- and by the time he realizes it's not the paintings, it's almost too late to save her from the danger rising out of her past."
