| Plot Summary of Midnight Whispers |
"Christie is a happy teen until a fire destroys the family hotel and her parents. Now Christie and her younger brother Jefferson have to live with her aunt, uncle, and twin cousins. Aunt Bet is a neat freak; according to her nothing can become clean and dust free. Christie's twin cousins are sneaky and mean, forever getting Jefferson into trouble. Uncle Philip is nice, but can't get over his half-sister Dawn's death. Then one night Uncle Philip forces himself on Christie. Christie and Jefferson run away to New York, hoping to find her biological father and a safe haven."
