| Plot Summary of Stinker from Space |
"This is the first book in a two-part series.
Tsynq Yr is a Sylon scout and pilot, spying behind the enemy lines of the Zarnk Empire. When escaping from a pursuing Zarnk battleship, Tsynq Yr puts his stolen scout ship into hyperdrive and crashes on Earth. His body cannot survive the impact, so the telepathic alien commandeers the body of one of the planet's native species—a skunk.
Tsynq Yr is befriended by young Karen, who (mistakenly) gives the furry alien a name befitting his new body: Stinker. With the help of her space-obsessed neighbor Jonathan, Karen and Stinker plan to “borrow” a U.S. space shuttle and send the alien back home with his vital information attained from the Zarnk. But the Zarnk arrive on Earth to find and capture the Sylon. It is up to Karen, Jonathan, and Stinker to foil the Zarnk while simultaneously outmaneuvering the U.S. government—and help Stinker find his way back home.
