| Plot Summary of For the Love of Lilah |

"Max Quartermain is a professor hired to work on a yacht and research the Calhoun papers which were stolen. When he realizes his boss stole the papers, he tries to get away, but he is shot at. In a last attempt to save himself he jumps overboard into the storm, and is finally rescued by Lilah Calhoun. He finds her attractive, and soons realizes he recognized her name from the stolen papers and tells the family everything he knows.
Max finds himself falling in love with the laid back Lilah, but constantly messes things up without meaning to. He constantly fears for her safety when he realizes his attackers are still on the island. When one of the men comes after Lilah, Max fights him, and the man dies.
The emeralds have still not been found, but the jewel thief from the last story is still after them. Lilah and Max had been fighting before the fight, but will the forgive each other and stay together?"
