After eighteen years in service, she decides to act on her own and seek revenge against Salvatore Nervi, a man who was responsible for the death of her dear friends and their adopted daughter. She manages to kill Nervi but ends up being chased by Nervi's son, Rodrigo, who now wants revenge for his father's death. But Lily isn't willing to run yet. She has killed her friends' murderer but now wants to know why they had been murdered in the first place and she also wants to find others responsible for their death, too. She stays in Paris to research while trying to stay out of Rodrigo's sight at the same time. Enter Lucas Swain. He is also a CIA agent and has been sent by his director to bring Lily in. He goes to Paris and finds her. But after learning why Lily has gone rogue, he decides to help her. Lily accepts his help, though she thinks he is a freelance mercenary. She doesn't know he's a CIA agent and he doesn't plan on telling her-yet. His plan is to help her and only then bring her in. After a lot of research, Lucas and Lily finally learns why her friends had been killed and uncover the mastermind behind the whole thing."
