Plot Summary of Motion To Suppress
"Nina Reilly is a promising young attorney, working for a firm in San Francisco, when unexpectedly she is fired, and her marriage falls apart. Nina, and her son Bobby move to Tahoe where they must live with Nina's brother, Matt, and his family, while Nina attempts to set up a legal practice. One of Nina's first clients is Misty Patterson, a young woman seeking a divorce. It seems like a simple case, until Misty's husband is murdered, and Misty is arrested for the crime.

All that Misty can remember is a fight with her husband during which she hit him on the head with a statue. After that Misty fell into a deep sleep. When she awoke, both the statue and her husband were gone. To the police Misty's seems like an open and shut case, but Nina is convinced of her clients innocence. To prove it, Nina begins to delve into the private side of the Patterson's marriage, and secrets from Misty's childhood that even Misty herself has repressed. As she gets closer to the truth Nina begins to realize that her own life may be in danger."
