Plot Summary of The Mask of Ra
"The Pharaoh Tuthmosis II has been victorious in his war against the raiders of the Nile Delta but is feeling weak and frail. He looks forward to his return to Thebes and his beautiful wife, Hatusu. But a witch polluted the Pharaoh's tomb and the homecoming ceremony was overshadowed by wounded doves. When Tuthmoses dies within an hour of his arrival, the Lord Judge Amerotke must serve his queen and justice by discovering the murderer and the assassins intent on overthrowing the royal line.

Rumours and speculation runs like locusts through the royal city. Suspicion is beginning to fall on Queen Hatusu and, demonstating her determination and strength as she and her judge must fight for the truth and uncover ancient secrets of Egypt.

This book is first in the series."
