| Plot Summary of Taking Chances |
" Heartland is a horse ranch that heals physically and emotionally injured horses and ponies. Heartland's business has increased so much that Amy and Lou take on a new stable hand. The focus of the Heartland series is on healing horses however some humans heal too.
When Ben comes to work at Heartland it doesn't go as smoothly as everyone had hoped for. Ben's training methods are much harsher than what Amy and Ty use. Ben sees the positive effects of the treatments used at the ranch but it takes a crisis to make him more sensitive. After Ty and Amy save Ben's show horse Red from accidental poisoning they finally work together as a team."
