Plot Summary of A Quiche Before Dying
"Jane Jeffry's mom is visiting and while she is there, Jane, her neighbor and best friend, Shelley, and Jane's mom decide to take a 5-night course on writing autobiographies. A shockingly rude, awful woman, Mrs. General Pryce, takes the course as well, and submits her whole autobiography to the rest of the class before class even starts. It, too, shows what a cruel person she (Mrs. Pryce) is. One night, Mrs. Pryce invites everybody over for dinner before class, and that night, Mrs. Pryce dies in class. Her maid got sick because it was the maid's habit to finish whatever Mrs. Pryce didn't eat, but the maid didn't die because she got help in time. As in other books in this series, Jane and Shelley try to figure out who killed Mrs. Pryce."
