Plot Summary of Cat Seeing Double
"This is part of the Joe Grey (cat detective) series, but Joe and his other two cat pals are almost secondary characters. They observe a lot, talk to some humans who are in on their "secret" ability to talk, and call in to the police with their anonymous tips. In this book, Ryan Flannery is a female contractor who was framed for murdering her ex-husband, Rupert. Ryan's uncle, Dallas Garza, is the department's relatively new Chief of Detectives, so he's put in the difficult position of investigating. A major subplot to the story involved the Chief of Police getting married at the village's church, but a bomb blew up the church. (Nobody was hurt because one of the cats told a human about the threat.) It wasn't clear if the bomb was part of the murder, or if it was just a separate incident."
