| Plot Summary of A Month of Sundays |
" Cooper, the central figure in "A Month of Sundays," is in a nursing home; he is physically disabled but mentally alert. His best friend is Aylott who is physically fine, but is losing it mentally. Cooper is very unhappy about the way he is treated and deals with everyone very cynically except for Aylott and one nurse. He especially has trouble dealing with his daughter and her husband. As Aylott comes closer and closer to losing it completely, Cooper must come to terms with his family and learn to make the best of what life has to offer."
