| Plot Summary of Oleana |
"In "Oleana" David Mamet deals with the problems of communications between the sexes, problems that escalate into charges of sexual harrassment and even worse. John is a university professor. Carol, one of his students comes to his office for a conference to discuss her work. John is preoccupied with other things. He says things he feels are perfectly acceptable, but Carol understands them quite differently. In two further conferences the misunderstandings simply multiply creating a violent confrontation."
