| Plot Summary of Dawn Over The Amazon |
"As World War II rages on into the 1950's, an American engineer and promoter, Grant Hammond, gets caught up in a movement to unite the republics of South America into a single nation much like the United States. He is aided in his efforts by a popular Peruvian leader known as “The Reaper," the Reaper's pretty sister, and a Hungarian Baron, but is hampered in his efforts by General Manuel Montes, the president and dictator of Peru. Montes has them all arrested on trumped-up charges of treason. And once they get out, they end up stranded at a Brazilian fort, fighting yellow fever, the Nazis who attack from the east coast, and the Japanese who attack from the west coast."
