Plot Summary of Ruby
"Ruby has grown up in the bayou with her healer grandmother, and dream of becoming an artist. Upon the death of her grandmother, Ruby runs away to New Orleans to meet her estranged father, and the twin sister she never knew she had. Although she is welcomed lovingly by her father, Ruby's sister and stepmother make life miserable for her. An added element of jealousy arises as Ruby falls in love with her sister's boyfriend. "
