| Plot Summary of Runaways |
"Orphans Brooke, Crystal, Raven, and Butterfly were introduced in the first four books of this series. The girls are now living in a New York foster home. When their foster father tries to molest Crystal, the foursome steal his car and head towards California. Brooke wants to find her birth mother, Crystal wants to continue schooling, and Raven and Butterfly want to become a singer and dancer, respectively. Soon, their stash of money is stolen, and the girls attempt to work their way across the country, living in fear that their foster father is following them."
