| Plot Summary of Test of the Twins - Dragonlance Legends 3 |
"This is the third book in the DragonLance: Legends trilogy. Caramon and Tas try to return home, but they overshoot their home and end up in the future. They learn exactly what happens after Raistlin successfully defeats Takhisis. Just before their world comes to an end, Astinius, he who always remained neutral and never interceded, takes an action for the first time. He gives his final book to Caramon and Tas and lets them take it backward in time to show Raistlin.
This book becomes a rather interesting device. Tas refers to it several times to find out where people are in Palanthus and uses it to change several elements of the past.
Raistlin and Crysania have successfully entered the portal and we see them in a struggle.
Meanwhile, Tanis makes a reappearance. He's hanging about Palanthus, as he is wanted at an upcoming celebration. It is here that he is summoned to visit the dying Paladine cleric Elistan and finds the evil mage Dalamar and the neutral librarian Astinus.
We learn that Kitiara is planning an attack on Palanthus. All in the City of Palanthas gear up for the war while Caramon and Tas are trying to stop Raistlin.
