Plot Summary of My Fake Wedding
"Katie has decided to give up on men. But sex is still allowed and what follows is the search for a partner who doesn't want a relationship. Throw in some homosexual friends, a wedding to receive a green card, a bunch of men who actually want a relationship, losing a job and starting a new business and you have quite a book. Katie's best friend Sam is also looking like stud material to her, and her other best friend is marrying an older man for his money-if only he would pop the question.
A good book, but written for a UK crowd and has many descriptions and slang that Americans may not understand."

By Red Dress Ink

Katie Simpson comes home early one night and finds her boyfriend “boffing” someone else in their bathroom. This fact along with her propensity to only hit on men who are gay has her swearing off men for the New Year. As she is taking this route her other close friends have their own new years resolutions. Janice has decided to find herself a “Sugar Daddy” and Sam her best friend forever has just bought a house and is talking about maybe settling down. The only one still looking to party seems to be George (who is gay).

You follow the story of these 4 friends and how they interact with not only each other by all others in their acquaintance.

When George brings home the love of his life Katie is shocked to see it is someone she tried to sleep with before she is fired from her job, which she didn't like anyway. Eventually it is determined that David is going to be deported unless they can find a way to keep him in the country. So George and David talk to Katie and convince her to “fake” marry David so he can stay and they will let her use their house to start her catering business.

While this is all going on Katie finally figures out that she loves Sam but, he seems to have a girlfriend now. Timing is everything.
