"Big Stone Gap is a comical depiction of small town life in Virginia. Ave Marie Mulligan realizes that at age 35, she no longer wants to be the town spinster and would like to search for love. However, she discovers secrets from her past--including the discovery of her real father, which leads her to discover love where she never thought possible. Before she knows it, she has two men to choose from and Ave Marie has her hands full with love, perhaps more love than she can handle."
