Plot Summary of Tully
"Tully's life was shaped by her abusive mother and absent father. She found refuge in her friendships with Julie and Jennifer. When, in their senior year of high school, Jennifer becomes depressed, Tully and Julie try to warn Jennifer's parents of the problem, but they don't respond. Jennifer commits suicide. As Tully grows up, she gets married and has a child, but she never forgets Jennifer, or their mutual dream to move to California some day. One day, when Tully brings flowers to Jennifer's grave, she runs into Jack, Jennifer's former boyfriend. Jack and Tully embark upon an affair, and Jack offer Tully the opportunity to move out to California with him, and fulfill her dream and Jennifer's. Now, Tully must decide whether or not to leave her devoted husband, Robin, and break up her family, or to let Jennifer go, and stop trying to live her life for her. "
