| Plot Summary of Cha Cha Cha |
"Alison and her husband live a wealthy life in a upscale Connecticut suburb, but after a stock market crash, Alison's Wall Street husband loses all of his money and announces that he's leaving her. Now, Alison must work for her living for the first time ever. She gets a job as a maid for Melanie Maloney, a writer of sleazy celebrity biographies. Melanie is working on the biography of a famous actor turned U.S. senator when she turns up dead. Alison is the police's main suspect, but plenty of other people had good reson to want Melanie dead, including the subject of her new book, his daughter, and Cullie, an architecural photographer and Alison's new love interest. Alison decides to investigate the murder herself, in an attempt to clear her name. "
