"Klaus Kinski. the titanic German actor, wrote this autobiography, originally titled I Need Love in German, which tells of his poverty-stricken childhood in pre-war Germany, misadventures after being drafted, and whirlwind life of movies, women, drugs, and other obsessions thereafter. Although initially titillating, the unending tales of sex and debauchery become tiresome, as do his romantic obsessions and jealousies. This man was a monster of desire as well as a riveting actor, and one would have liked to have read more about his work and craft."
