| Plot Summary of Almost Night |
"From the beginning, homicide detective Susannah Cannon recognized a neediness to the killer's victims that was similar to her own. The need for acceptance, the need for love. As she struggles with her own past and present romantic relationships and with her troubled relationship with her dysfunctional family, Susannah and her team track a serial killer who targets strong women. As they work, Suze discovers a tie to her family and also the possibility that she is the killer's intended victim."
