| Plot Summary of The Alpine Fury |
"People in Alpine are nervous. It seems like all of the small-town stores are closing down. Marv Peterson, president of the Bank of Alpine, is acting strange which makes the town and his heirs uncomfortable. When an old resident and a banker from Seattle comes into town for a "fishing trip" the town goes wild with rumors. Emma Lord, editor and publisher of The Alpine Advocate, decides to some snooping of her own. She gets in over her head when Linda Lindahl, Marv's daughter and current bank bookkeeper is found murdered at a local motel."
