| Plot Summary of The Alpine Escape |
"Emma Lord is ready to get out of Alpine, Washington where she owns the newspaper, The Alpine Advocate. Unfortunately, her old trusty Jag breaks down in Port Angeles where she is forced to stay with the pregnant daughter of a friend. The daugther is in hysterics because days before Emma arrives she found a skeleton of a young woman in the basement with only a garnet earring and locket as clues to who the young woman is. It's up to Emma to track down who the skeleton is and what happened almost 100 years ago before the daughter goes completely hysterical. "
