| Plot Summary of The Emerald Swan |
"Twin girls are split up when they are only a few months old and later reunite after Harcourt, the guardian of one, sees her likeness in a street performer. He begins plans to substitute the street performer, Miranda, for the mild mannered Maude because Maude would rather join a convent then marry the over eager king of France. Harcourt plans to turn Miranda into the belle of the ball but must becareful not to lose his heart in the process."
